Robertson Motorsports Perseveres At Madhouse

Winston-Salem, NC: No matter what the challenge thrown at them, Robertson Motorsports persevered Saturday night at the Madhouse.  After working hard to prepare the #72 Carolina Wood Floors/Winston-Salem State Motorsports Management Chevrolet, this machine had a strong showing during the start of the first 20-lap Sportsman Division race.  Starting in the 4th position, driver Bryant Robertson, took off as the green flag waved.

As the 24 car field approached turn two on the first lap of this race, the lead car missed a gear causing the second and third place cars to slam into each other right in front of Robertson.  With very little damage, Robertson was able to line up in the sixth position for the race restart.  Persevering, Robertson was able to quickly charge back to fourth before a three car pile up sent him into the #13 causing extensive damage to the #72 Carolina Wood Floors/Winston-Salem State Motorsports Management Chevrolet.

After a trip to the pits, the #72 Robertson Motorsports team jumped into action making quick repairs, and sending Robertson back into the race on the restart.  Although this damage made it difficult for Robertson to navigate his way back through the field, he was able to jump back into 12th position before the race ended abruptly on lap 17 due to rain.

The rain ended racing for the night at the famed ¼ mile.  Robertson said that he was disappointed with this finish, but that he is proud to have such a hard working team on his side.  “This team put a ton of effort into the #72 Carolina Wood Floors/Winston-Salem State Motorsports Management car and I couldn’t be prouder.  With the effort that this team puts in I believe we could have expected an even better finish if we had a chance to run the second Sportsman Division race tonight.”

Bryant Robertson will return to Bowman Gray Stadium in next Saturday night’s finale 40-lap Sportsman Division race.  For the latest news on Bryant Robertson and the entire Robertson Motorsports team, visit www.BryantRobertsonRacing.com.
