Posts First Win of Season on Sponsor’s Big Night

Winston-Salem, NC:  Ryan Robertson and his #23 Law Offices of Timothy D. Welborn/ICE Epilepsy Alliance Chevrolet won more than a first place trophy in the first Sportsman race of the night last night at Bowman Gray Stadium.  This win guaranteed a $500 donation to the ICE Epilepsy Alliance from the night’s title sponsor, The Law Offices of Timothy D. Welborn.

The ICE Epilepsy Alliance is a national non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of children affected by intractable or drug-resistant epilepsy through evidence-based information, advocacy for appropriate medical treatment and funding for research that will lead to a cure.

Robertson, who said that he had a strong car for this race, took the green flag in the second place starting position before quickly jumping to the lead on the second lap of the 20-lap race.  Robertson stayed in the front of the pack until he received the checkered flag on the last lap to a mob of cheering family, friends and sponsors.

“This was a big night for both our team as well as the ICE Epilepsy Alliance,” said Robertson.  “I am just glad that this win made such a large impact and could help others.”

Michelle Welborn, founder and president of the ICE Epilepsy Alliance, said that this was such an exciting event and that she was very impressed with both Ryan Robertson and Robertson Motorsports.  “Ryan has always been so supportive of charities like this and to know that he drove as hard as he did tonight to assist ICE Epilepsy means more than words could ever express.”

Last night’s Law Offices of Timothy D. Welborn ICE Epilepsy Night coincides with another historical event at the famed quarter-mile this weekend, which will include the first NASCAR K&N Pro Series East race, the first NASCAR tier race in Bowman Gray Stadium’s 63-year history.
